CATHERINE ELIZABETH ‘CATHY’ NEEL
Catherine Elizabeth “Cathy” Neel, 62, of Bardstown, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Louisville to the late William and Margaret Louise Mitchell Clark. She was a former employee of Jefferson County Public School system and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Clark Neel; two daughters, Kristin (Andrew) Ellcessor of Mount Washington and Melanie (Barnett) Reece of Louisville; two sons, Richard A. (Debbie) Neel of Cox’s Creek and Michael Allen Neel (Angie Dunn) of Shepherdsville; one sister, Marlita Clark (Tony) Tomlin of Berea; one brother, Paul Douglas Clark (Kelly Leaser) of Jeffersonville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is noon Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Parkway Baptist Church with burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-noon Thursday at the church.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made towards Cathy’s funeral arrangements.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
