Cecilia Evelyn Spalding, 87, of Lebanon, died Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Cedars of Lebanon. She was born May 9, 1928 in Lebanon. She was a retired lunchroom employee of Glasscock Elementary School and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Austin Spalding; her parents, Louis Raymond and Elizabeth Irene Hamilton Daugherty; one daughter, Karen Spalding; one son, Joseph DeWayne Spalding; three sisters, Florence Botts, Gladys Thomas and Colette Schickel; and four brothers, L.R., Pete, Clifton and Joe Paul Daugherty.
Survivors include two sons, Barry (Michelle) Spalding of Finley and Chris (Krystal) Spalding; one brother, Harold Daugherty of Louisville; 10 grandchildren, Shawna Richerson, Scott Spalding, Patrick Spalding, Regan Spalding, Jonathan Spalding, Nicholas Spalding, Cheyenne Spalding, Madeline Spalding, Collin Spalding, and Calvin Spalding; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Deacon Joe Dant.
Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers: Shawna Richerson, Scott Spalding, Patrick Spalding, Regan Spalding, Jonathan Spalding, Nicholas Spalding, Cheyenne Spalding, Madeline Spalding, Collin Spalding and Calvin Spalding.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Marion County Handicapped Association.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of the arrangements.
