Obituary: Terry Lynn ‘Lucy’ Douglas Nichelson, 54, Icetown
Terry Lynn “Lucy” Douglas Nichelson, 54, of Icetown, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at her residence. She was disabled, and formerly worked at Lowe’s for several years. She was born Dec. 14, 1961, the daughter of the late Thomas Clarence and Mary Helen Culver Douglas. She was a Catholic by faith.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Ann Douglas; and one brother, Ricky Douglas.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Nichelson of Icetown; one daughter, Amy Thornsberry of Icetown; one son, DeWayne Thornsberry of Icetown; one stepdaughter, Kira Nichelson of Indiana; one stepson, Scott Nichelson of Florida; two sisters, Kay (Billy) Mattingly of Bardstown and Lisa (Tony) Lands of Icetown; five brothers, Ronnie (Pat) Douglas of Elizabethtown, Allan (Sheila) Douglas of Icetown, Mark (Joan) Douglas of Icetown, Perry Douglas of New Haven and Tommy (Rose Ann) Douglas of Boston; one grandson, Devin Thornsberry; four stepgrandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is 6 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating. Burial is in the St. Catherine Cemetery in New Haven.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 North Main St., New Haven, is in charge of the arrangements.
