Saturday, April 9, 2016 — During the April meeting of Chapter 1050 of The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Carol Baldwin, 
state health insurance assistance program) from the Lincoln Trail Area Development District briefed chapter members on recent changes to Medicare. She stressed the importance of receiving good information from the correct sources when enrolling in Medicare. A wrong decision on what Medicare program to enroll in within the 7-month window upon becoming eligible can have catastrophic consequences on an individual’s ability to obtain affordable, quality healthcare.
