Obituary: Margaret Jean Vargas, 64, Bardstown
MARGARET JEAN VARGAS
Margaret Jean Vargas, 64, of Bardstown, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at her residence. She was born Nov. 25, 1951, in Hazard. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Shepherd; her mother, Nancy Mae Holt; one daughter, Leslie Caudill; one sister, Lexine Shepherd; and one grandson, Philip Wayne Hutchins III.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Vargas of Bardstown; four daughters, Janet Swift of Bardstown, Linda Noe of Bonnieville, and Henrietta Caudill and April Hibbs, both of Bardstown; one son, Donald Scott Hibbs Jr. of Bardstown; two stepdaughters, Cheyanne Joaquin and Talia Vargas; four sisters; one brother; nine grandchildren; one stepgrandson, Guadalupe Joaquin; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with Pastor Lou Garcia officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to American Cancer Society.
