Editor’s Notebook: Perhaps the world will find out ‘Who is John Galt?’

Sunday, May 15, 2011, 10 p.m. — In his latest rant in The Editor’s Notebook, Gazette editor Jim Brooks writes that since the movie “Atlas Shrugged” debuted last month he’s hearing from people who understand the window sticker on his vehicles that asks “Who is John Galt?”

Are the ideas espoused in “Atlas” — that making money via hard work  is a moral and just goal, along with self-reliance and taking responsibility for your actions — old-fashioned and out-of-step? Or is the Obama Administration’s embrace of Keynesian economics the way to a more prosperous future?
