Obituary: Berenice Mae Milligan, 56, Cox’s Creek

BERENICE MAE MILLIGAN

Berenice Mae Milligan, 56, of Cox’s Creek, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at her residence. She was born July 2, 1959, in Louisville. She was a self-employed travel agent and a member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Louisville. She loved travelling especially to beaches, and had hoped to one day live in Jamaica.

She is survived by two sons, Jonathan Swayze and Mark Swayze, both of Cox’s Creek; her parents, Hansford and Mildred Coomes Milligan of Cox’s Creek; six sisters, Brenda Friedman of Florida, Mary Jane Land and Gladys Graham, both of Cox’s Creek, Judy Chappell of Louisville, Jackie Hall of Bardstown and Jennifer Dooley of Georgia; and her brother, Leslie Milligan of Colorado.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Benny Phelps officiating. Burial is in the Mount Carmel Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family will appreciate flowers however memorial donations may also be made towards the funeral expenses.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown, is in charge of arrangements.
