Victim airlifted from scene after truck overturns in creek on Pottershop

April 14, 2016, 5 p.m. — A man was injured Thursday afternoon when the truck he was driving left Pottershop Road and rolled over, landing upside down in Mill Creek. Police, EMS and Nelson County Fire & Rescue were dispatched at about 1 p.m. for the single-vehicle injury accident. A Bullitt County paramedic was on the scene attending to the victim who was entrapped in the truck when fire, police and EMS arrived. Firefighters had to extricate the man from the truck. EMS transported the victim to a nearby field where a medical helicopter was waiting to transport the patient to Louisville for evaluation and treatment of his injuries. The Bardstown Fire Department provided mutual aid on the scene.
