City fire will host seminars on life safety and fire codes May 4

Friday, April 15, 2016, 11 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department will have a free seminar on Wednesday, May 4 for business owners, supervisors and employees on the life safety and fire codes that have been established by the National Fire Protection Association.
Three sessions are planned that day in order to make it available to as many people as possible.
According to a fire department press release, the city fire department wants to inform local business owners and their employees about the fire and life safety codes in order to improve workplace safety and to help them be prepared for inspections by the city fire marshal.
The sessions are set for 8:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Bardstown Fire Department’s Station 1 at 220 North Fifth St.
