Water line work to interrupt service Monday in North Salem, Woods Run areas

Community News

Monday, April 18, 2016 — The City of Bardstown is issuing a “Boil Water Advisory”, due to routine maintenance on a water main Monday, April 18, water-tap2016 beginning at 9 a.m. for City of Bardstown water customers on North Salem Drive, Woods Run Road, Autumn Avenue and McKenna Way.

Customers may experience low or intermittent water pressure, and, therefore, drinking water should be boiled as a precautionary measure.

The necessary maintenance will begin at approximately 9 a.m. and will cause some customers to be without water while the work is being conducted. At this time, crews cannot estimate the exact amount of time that customers will be without water; however, they will be working diligently to have the water back on as quickly as possible.

Once water service is restored, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect for 24-48 hours. Road signs will be placed in the area and will be used to announce with the advisory is lifted.

If discoloration of your water or air in your water lines persist, please call City Hall at 502-348-5947, ext. 2270.
