Obituary: Donald Barry Avritt, 70, Lebanon

Donald Barry Avritt, 70, of Lebanon, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Robley Rex V.A. Medical Center in Louisville. He was born Jan. 21, 1946, in Lebanon. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Donald and Wanda Lee Skaggs Avritt; one brother, Ronald Terry Avritt; an uncle, Richard Keene; and an aunt, Elizabeth Keene.

Survivors include one daughter, Paula Rochelle (Bill) Thompson of Mount Washington; one son, Anthony Clay (Barbara) Avritt of Bardstown; two grandchildren; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon officiated by Dr. Chris Howlett. Burial is in the Lebanon National Cemetery. The Marion County Veteran Honor Guard will be conducting full military honors.

Visitation is 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
