Obituary: Thelma Lucille ‘Sissy’ Brightwell, 91, Lebanon Junction

Thelma Lucille “Sissy” Brightwell, 91, of Lebanon Junction, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was the former housekeeper for The People’s Bank in Lebanon Junction and a member of First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Chanell Hoagland; and one brother, Tom “Junie” Hoagland.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Clay; two sons, Robert Brightwell and Michael “Chops” Brightwell; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction with Bro. Jason McCray officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, and after 10 a.m. Sunday at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction.

The Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
