Obituary: Bernard Lee Biven, 68, Bardstown
Bernard Lee Biven, 68, of Bardstown, died Saturday, April 23, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 19, 1948, to the late Vincent Louis and Mabel Catherine Hobbs Biven. He was a painter, an Air Force veteran and a member of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Catherine Scott and Alice Irene Biven; and three brothers, William Louis Biven, John Edward Biven and James Earl Biven.
He is survived by one son, Rommel Polma Biven of Guam; two sisters, Mary Fan Vaughn of Fayetteville, N.C. and Ann Griffin of Killeen, Texas; two brothers, Vincent Biven of Bardstown and Thomas A. Biven of Ontario, Canada; and four grandchildren.
The funeral is 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, at St. Monica Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation is 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the church.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
