Letter: National Day of Prayer activities set for Wednesday, Thursday
To the Editor,
When the nation was young, the President would call for a day Of Prayer; the people would respond, and often miracles would ensue. See 32 Miracles In American History by Suzie Federer!
With the nation mature and needing prayer badly, we have occasion next Wednesday and Thursday to cry out to God as did the Israelites in the time of the Judges. Franklin Graham will speak at the Capital at noon in Frankfort on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
On Thursday, May 5 — the official National Day of Prayer — most churches will be open for prayer from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with 30 minutes off at noon to pray under the flags in front of the Nelson County Justice Center (the new courthouse). At 6:30 p.m. there will be public prayer at the Farmers’s Market in Bardstown hosted by Reverend Tim Acree.
In addition to the recommended list of items to be prayed for, let’s ask for God’s help to solve the county’s unsolved murders and for justice to be done! He knows Who and Where.
