Obituary: Margie Lorene Hardesty, 95, Bedford
Margie Lorene Hardesty, 95, of Bedford, formerly of Louisville, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at her brother’s residence in Bedford. She was born Feb. 24, 1923 in Lebanon. She lived in Louisville from 1954 to 2005 and retired from Brown and Williamson after working there for 25 years. She was a member West Broadway Baptist Church in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Adrian “Bob” Hardesty; her parents, Arthur “Jip” and Stella Maupin Hardesty; and one brother, Charles B. Hardesty.
She is survived by one brother, Ben Hardesty of Bedford; two nieces, Anna Lucas of Custer and Kathy (Roger Ward) Hardesty of Milton; two nephews, John (Sarah) Hardesty of Salem and Benny Dean (Donna) Hardesty of Campbellsville; five great-nieces and nephews, Ashley B. Jones, Benjamin S. Hardesty, Jessica K. Caudill, Kody D. Caudill, And Dustin K. Wyssbrod; one great-great-niece, Brooklin T. Jones; and one great-great-nephew, Rowen M. Jones.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Bosley Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Skaggs officiating with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
