Tuesday, May 24, 2016, 5 p.m. – The Bardstown City Council held is second regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. The council discussed the city’s proposed 2016-17 budget as well as the status of negotiations with Nelson Fiscal Court over the joint city-county dispatch center. The council approved the recommendations forward by the Historic Review Board; the 2016-17 tourist commission budget; heard a request from Bardstown Mainstreet for a part-time groundskeeper; and approved two requests for utility service. The council also heard public comment from city firefighter Justin Brown on behalf of the city firefighters who are member of the International Association of Fire Fighters.
