Obituary: Francis Theodore ‘Sam’ Nalley, 82, Bardstown
Francis Theodore “Sam” Nalley, 82, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at his residence. He was born June 11, 1933, in Holy Cross. He was a former truck driver with Advance Trucking in Louisville and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Leslie and Mary Leona Mattingly Nalley; and three sisters, Imelda Hagan, Eleanor Cahoe and Barbara R. Williamson.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Alice Masterson Nalley; four daughters, Kim Nalley of Bardstown, Cindy Fowler (Ben) of Columbia, S.C., Marie Rigor (Deke) of Mount Washington and Katrina Mack of Owensboro; three sons, Eddie Nalley of Louisville, David Nalley (Jalinda) of Bardstown and Michael Nalley (Julia) of Balltown; one sister, Joan Malone of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Morgan Amundsen, Rebecca Hall, Josh Siegfried, Justin Siegfried, Emily Mack, Eric Mack, Travis Petty and Trent Petty; and one great-granddaughter, Adeline Petty.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
