Bardstown pool opens Saturday; family, senior discounts available

Friday, June 3, 2016 — The Bardstown City Pool will open Saturday, June 4 for the summer. Regular pool hours will be 1-5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and admission is $5.

poolWednesday is Family Swim night from 6 – 8 p.m., with $3 admission (children under 2 and adults over 55 are free).

RENTALS, WATEROBICS. Pool rentals are also available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Waterobics classes will be offered June 7–Aug. 11, 2016 on Tuesday and Thursday, 11 – noon or 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. The cost of the class will be $130 for the 10-week session; drop-in cost is $10 per class. Sign-ups will be taken until June 6.

LESSONS. Swimming Lessons are also available for anyone ages 3 to adult wanting to learn how to swim or become a better swimmer. The cost is $50 per participant. Sessions will be held during the following dates: June 14 – June 24, June 28 – July 8, and July 12 – July 22. Class times will be Tuesday through Friday in the mornings, and in the evenings.

SWIM TEAM. The Bardstown Barracuda Swim Team is now taking registrations. The cost is $75 and can be turned in to the Recreation Department by June 6. The parent meeting will be held at the pavilion by the pool on June 2nd at 5:30pm.
