Three men arrested for metal thefts from Bardstown manufacturer

Saturday, June 4, 201610:30 a.m. — Three people were arrested following a Bardstown Police Department investigation of the long-term theft of scrap metal, aluminum and copper materials.

bardstownpolicepatchTodd Stanley Brady, 37, of Bardstown, Adam Joseph Wethington, 42, and Joseph Randal Kidwell, 30, were arrested on charges of theft by unlawful taking, $500 or more but under $10,000.

According to a police press release, on Tuesday, June 2, a representative of Armag Corp. came to the police department to report the thefts. The thefts of metal from Armag Corp. date back as far as January 2013. The investigation determined the materials were being sold as scrap. Armag is a manufacturer of specialized storage containers and structures.

More arrests are expected in the case. Bardstown Police Detective Lynn Davis is in charge of the investigation.
