Nelson Circuit Court Indictments–June 1, 2016

Editor’s Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

indictmentMonday, June 6, 2016 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, June 16, 2016, unless otherwise indicated.

16-CR-151. DEBRA L. WAMPLER, 55, Bardstown, possession of controlled substance, first-degree (cocaine) and complicity to the same; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified) and complicity to the same; tampering with physical evidence and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment on Jan. 20, 2016, Wampler – acting alone or in concert with Gary W. Maddox – allegedly possessed cocaine, hydrocodone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and attempted to dispose of plastic baggies containing an unknown substance. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions

15-CR-152. CHADREN WAYNE FRISBY, 37, Hodgenville, theft by unlawful taking – auto, $500 or more but under $10,000; theft by unlawful taking – firearm.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 8, 2015, Frisby allegedly took a .38 caliber handgun and numerous items belonging to another person having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-153. JORDAN GIRDLEY, 25, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 4 grams cocaine); fleeing and evading police, second-degree (on foot); possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 20, 2016, Girdley allegedly possessed cocaine with the intent to sell or transfer it; wantonly disobeyed a peace officer’s direction to stop; and then acting alone or in concert with Gary W. Maddox, possessed drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-154. LORI L. NEW, 49, Bardstown, trafficking controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school and complicity to the same; trafficking in controlled substances, second-degree (20 or more drug units of an unspecified Schedule 3 drug); trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Nov. 12, 2014, New allegedly sold marijuana to a confidential information within 1,000 feet of St. Joseph School; sold codeine pills to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges that on Jan. 14, 2015 – New – acting alone or in concert with Anthony S. New — sold marijuana to a confidential informant within 1,000 feet of St. Joseph School and possessed drug paraphernalia and 8 ounces or more of marijuana with intent to sell. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

16-CR-155. GARY WAYNE MADDOX, 55, Bardstown, possession of controlled substance, first-degree (cocaine) and complicity to the same; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified) and complicity to the same; tampering with physical evidence and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment on Jan. 20, 2016, Maddox – acting alone or in concert with Debra L. Wampler – allegedly possessed cocaine, hydrocodone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and attempted to dispose of plastic baggies containing an unknown substance. The indictment cites Maddox’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-156. ANTHONY S. NEW, 21, Bardstown, trafficking controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school and complicity to the same; trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 14, 2015, New – acting alone or in concert with Anthony S. New — sold marijuana to a confidential informant within 1,000 feet of St. Joseph School and possessed drug paraphernalia and 8 ounces or more of marijuana with intent to sell. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

16-CR-157. ABBI LONNEMAN, 22, Boston, theft by unlawful taking.

According to the indictment, sometime in November 2015, Lonneman allegedly took more than $27,000 in jewelry belonging to another person. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-158. DAVID E. DRAHOS, 34, Bloomfield, possession of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor (2 counts).

According to the indictment between March 6 – 20, 2016, Drahos allegedly possessed matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-159. CHRISTOPHER G. EVANS, 38, Chaplin, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 16, 2016, Evans alleged possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-160. JERRY B. PARKERSON, 32, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; assault, fourth-degree; violation of a protective order; resisting arrest; criminal mischief, third-degree.

According to the indictment, on May 12, 2016, Parkerson allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The indictment alleges that Parkerson struck another person in the face, violated a domestic violence order, resisted arrest and damaged property belonging to another person. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-161. AMANDA J. BIVEN, 33, Bloomfield, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 27, 2015, Biven allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The indictment cites Biven’s prior felony convictions as basis of the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-162. JANNA M. BORDERS, 21, address unknown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams methamphetamine) 2 counts); possession of drug paraphernalia (2 counts).

According to the indictment, on Oct. 5, 2015 and Aug. 31, 2015, Borders allegedly sold less than two grams methamphetamine to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-163. KATHY R. BROWN, 39, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified); possession of a controlled substance, second-degree; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on July 20, 2015, Brown allegedly possessed methamphetamine, methylphenidate and drug paraphernalia while in possession of a handgun. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-164. TRAVIS W. LINTON, 40, Bardstown, manufacturing methamphetamine; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of controlled substances, first-degree (opiates); trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams methamphetamine); trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 22, 2016, Linton allegedly manufactured and possessed less than 2 grams methamphetamine with the intent to sell it, while in possession of hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia, and also 8 ounces or less of marijuana with the intent to sell it. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-165. ROGER D. COTHERN, 52, Boston, manufacturing methamphetamine; trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams methamphetamine); possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine); possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on May 3, 2016, Cothern allegedly manufactured, possessed and trafficked less than 2 grams of methamphetamine while in possession of methamphetamine precursors, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The indictment cites Cothern’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-166. DEANGELO LEBREECE PHILLIPS, 25, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 4 grams cocaine) (3 counts); possession of drug paraphernalia (3 counts).

According to the indictment, on Sept. 12, 19 and 23, 2014, Phillips alleged sold less than 4 grams of cocaine to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
