MARY W. STANSBURY
Mary W. Stansbury, 106, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Windsor Gardens Nursing Home. She was born January 27, 1910, in Bardstown. She was a retired caretaker, known to many as “Aunt Mary.” She was a member of Flaget Auxiliary and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Stansbury; two sisters, Myrna McQuillan, and Sally Thompson; and six brothers, Rhodie Wheeler Sr., Frank Wheeler, Martin Wheeler, Kent Wheeler, Beckum Wheeler, and Hugh Wheeler.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday and 8-9:15 a.m. Saturday at Barlow Funeral Home, with prayer service Friday evening at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
