Obituary: Ann Marie Cecil Gilpin, 82, Bardstown
Ann Marie Cecil Gilpin, 82, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at her home. She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society, food bank, bereavement committee and was an avid rosary maker.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin Kyle Hicks; her parents, Claude and Clara Devers Cecil; eight sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Luther Gilpin; seven daughters, Donna Gerber, Pam Gilpin and Simone Brown (John), all of Bardstown, Cheryl Gilpin of Elizabethtown, and Karen Green (Steve), Robin Brady (Jim) and Elaine Riggs (Allan), all of Holy Cross; three sons, Roger Gilpin (Inez) of Las Vegas, Danny Gilpin (Virginia) of New Haven, and Tim Gilpin (Charlotte) of Bardstown; one sister, Laverne Mackin; one brother, Bill Cecil; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating. Burial is in the St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, 324 Center St., New Haven.
