City of Bardstown mosquito spraying program starts Thursday evening

Friday, June 10, 2016, 12:55 p.m. — The City of Bardstown will begin its mosquito spraying program on the evening of Thursday, June 16.
The spraying will begin as weather permits, beginning about 9:45 p.m. until dawn. The alternate date is Friday evening, June 17. The mosquito spraying program will continue every two weeks during the months of June, July and August.
During last weeks’ city council working session, Mayor John Royalty said there will be no opting out of the mosquito control program.
During its fogging operation, please keep children away from the fogging vehicle. Residents should park their vehicles off the street, go inside and remain indoors while the fogging vehicle is in the neighborhood.
