Icetown Road shut down due to utility lines down on roadway

Monday, June 13, 2016, 1 a.m. — The Rolling Fork Fire Department responded Sunday evening for a report of utility lines down across Icetown Road. Firefighters were dispatched at about 6:45 p.m. to the 1300 block of Icetown Road. According to witnesses, a vehicle apparently struck a utility pole and fled the scene. Lines for the utility pole — believed to be telephone and cable TV lines — were across the road and firefighters shut down the roadway until the lines could be made safe and marked as a hazard.
