Two injured in 2-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near Greenbrier

Monday, June 13, 2016, 1:26 p.m. — Nelson County EMS, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and the Nelson County Fire Department responded 
Monday afternoon for a two-vehicle injury accident on Loretto Road (KY49) near at its intersection with Joe Lyvers Road. First-responders were dispatched at 12:43 p.m. for an injury accident with entrapment. Firefighters extricated the driver of one of the vehicles which was hit in the side. The male driver of one of the vehicles was flown from the crash scene by helicopter to University Hospital with possible leg, hip and arm injuries. A second victim was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
First-responders were still on the scene at this time. If driving in the area, please observe for emergency vehicles.
