Obituary: Anna Lucille Mills, 88, Indianapolis

Anna Lucille Mills, 88, of Indianapolis, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, in Arlington Place Nursing Home in Indianapolis. She was a native of Spencer County and born Jan. 18, 1928, to the late Harding and Almedia Simpson Shelburne. She was a former cashier at a grocery store, and a funeral_flowermember of Lighthouse Community in Indianapolis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Earl Shelburne; one sister, Dollie Jean Ellis; and her brother, Glen Shelburne.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Owen Mills; one daughter, Dana Sue (Gary) Nickerson of Nashville; two sons, Terry Gene (Brenda) Moore and Cecil Marion Moore Jr., both of Louisville; one sister, Martha Mae (Holmes) Hatfield of Clarksville, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Joe Wilson, Bro. Willie Wilson, and Bro. Earl Wilson Jr. officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
