First Cedar Creek welcomes Bro. Gerald Hegwood as guest preacher this Sunday

Wednesday, June 15, 2016 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will have Bro. Gerald Hegwood as guest preacher this Sunday, June 19, 2016. Bro. Hegwood’s sermon for the morning worship service, “The Day Man Voted Wrong,” is from Mark 15:1-15. His sermon for the evening worship service, “The Fall of a Good Man,” is based on 2 Samuel 12:9.

cedarcreeksign320An offering for Oneida Baptist Institute, located at Oneida (near Manchester), will be received during the morning worship service. Received annually in many Southern Baptist Churches on Father’s Day, this offering will be highlighted by an alumnus of Oneida Baptist Institute class of 1989, Christy VanDeventer, who will give a brief review of her days as a student there and the impact it had on her life. She is a Bardstown resident who has worked with youth and families of Nelson County for more than 17 years through the Nelson County Schools Family Resource and Youth Services.

Oneida Baptist Institute is a Christian boarding and day school for students, Christian or non-Christian, in grades 6-12. Oneida has private school accreditation through the National Non-Public School Commission, the Kentucky Non-Public School Commission, and the Kentucky Department of Education.

The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church offers Bible Study for all ages each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The morning worship service follows at 11 a.m. and evening worship service is at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend activities and services of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church located 5 miles west of Bardstown off Boston Road (Hwy 62) on Bellwood Road (Hwy 733).
