Nelson Circuit Court Indictments — June 15, 2016

indictmentSaturday, June 18, 2016 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, July 7, 2016, unless otherwise indicated.

16-CR-167. JOSE E. RAMOS, 43, Bardstown, flagrant non-support; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment between July 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015, Ramos allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $25,652.27. The indictment cites Ramos’ prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-168. JODY BANDY, 35, Louisville, theft by unlawful taking/disposition, $500 or more but less than $10,000 and complicity to the same; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on May 26, 2016, Bandy – acting alone or in concert with Amanda West, Jeremy Bandy and Lonnie Campbell – took Dewalt power tools belonging to Lowes having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000 while in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. The indictment cites Bandy’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-169. JOSE E. RAMOS, 43, Bardstown, flagrant non-support, persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, between June 1, 2015 and Nov. 30, 2015, Ramos allegedly failed to provide support he knew he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $1,554.80. The indictment cites Ramos’ prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-170. JEREMY BANDY, 35, Campbellsville, theft by unlawful taking/disposition, $500 or more but less than $10,000 and complicity to the same; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on May 26, 2016, Bandy – acting alone or in concert with Amanda West, Jody Bandy and Lonnie Campbell – took Dewalt power tools belonging to Lowes having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000 while in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-171. DANIEL D. BEAVERS, 18, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking/disposition, all others, $500 or more but less than $10,000; criminal mischief, second-degree; criminal trespassing, third-degree.

According to the indictment, on June 6, 2016, Beavers allegedly took a Delphi radio belong to another person having the value of $500 or more but less than $10,000 while entering another person’s premises and causing damage of $500 or more. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-171. LONNlE W. CAMPBELL, 61, Louisville, theft by unlawful taking/disposition $500 or more but less than $10,000 and complicity to the same; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; expired registration plates.

According to the indictment, on May 26, 2016, Campbell – acting alone or in concert with Amanda West, Jody Bandy and Jeremy Bandy – took Dewalt power tools belonging to Lowes having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000 while in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle with expired registration plates. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-173. DAVID S. SWEAZY, 30, Athens, Ohio, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between March 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016, Sweazy allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to provide, resulting in an arrearage of $3, 440.42. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-174. AMANDA J. WEST, 45, Louisville, theft by unlawful taking/disposition $500 or more but less than $10,000 and complicity to the same; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on May 26, 2016, Campbell – acting alone or in concert with Lonnie Campbell, Jody Bandy and Jeremy Bandy – took Dewalt power tools belonging to Lowes having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000 while in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle with expired registration plates. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-175. CLAYTON SWEATT, 17, Fairfield, assault, first-degree; wanton endangerment, first-degree (5 counts); possession of a handgun by a minor.

According to the indictment, on May 21, 2016, Sweatt allegedly shot Hubert Cornett, causing serious injury and by possessing and firing a .45 caliber handgun, thereby endangering two other adults and two minor children.

16-CR-176. MATTHEW A. VITTITOW, 18, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of a controlled substance, second-degree; no operators license; careless driving.

According to the indictment, on May 11, 2016, Vittitow allegedly possessed methamphetamine and Neurontin, and operated a motor vehicle carelessly and without an operators license. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-177. MICHAEL T. AMAN, 46, New Hope, flagrant non-support; persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment, between Jan. 10, 2005 and Jan. 31, 2016, Aman allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $18,342.13. Aman’s prior felony conviction was the basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-178. BILLY R. COX, 39, Horse Cave, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between Aug. 1, 2013 and June 30, 2015, Cox allegedly failed to pay support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $4,657.64. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
