Obituary: Brother Louis Bertrand “Peter” Osbourne, O.P., 87, St. Rose

Brother Louis Bertrand “Peter” Osbourne, O.P., 87, of St. Rose Priory, Springfield, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Nazareth Home in Louisville. He was a Washington County native who was well known in the St. Rose community and Washington County where he funeral_angelserved at St. Rose Church for many years.

Survivors include two sisters, Frances Peterson (Henry) of Loretto and Jo Ann Smith (Charles Owen) of Lebanon; two brothers, Sidney Osbourne (Ruth Ann) of Springfield and William “Bill” Osbourne (Terri) of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at St. Rose Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Letoile, O.P. Provincial of the Province of St. Joseph in New York City officiating. Burial is in the St. Rose Priory Cemetery.

Visitation is after 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Rose Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7 a.m., and 8-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
