Jessica Clowers, 30, of Franklin, died Saturday at University Hospital in Louisville from injuries sustained in the crash last week near the Boston exit of the Bluegrass Parkway. Her husband, Douglas Clowers, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene of the same crash. Police say neither were not wearing seat belts, and both were ejected from the vehicle in which they were riding.

The Clowers were passengers in a mini-van operated by Amanda Minor, 23, of Bowling Green. According to police, Minor lost control of her vehicle, it went into a skid, cross the median and struck a westbound semi tractor-trailer. Minor was transported by Nelson County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital and later flown to University Hospital in Louisville.

The truck driver, William Montgomery, 76, of Bardstown, was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital and was treated and released for minor injuries.

The crash was reported at 7:19 a.m. June 14. Traffic was re-routed around the crash via Boston Road while the parkway was closed.
