Thursday, June 23, 2016, 3:40 p.m. — For those who plan to visit downtown Friday, June 24, or Saturday, June 25, be aware that portions of the city’s two parking lots downtown will be closed both days for sealing and striping.
According to a media release from Bardstown City Hall, the areas to be sealed and striped will include:
— The eastern-most portion of the East Flaget Avenue parking lot — specifically, the area not covered by the Farmer’s Market Pavilion;
— The portion of the West Flaget Avenue parking lot behind Mammy’s Kitchen.
The paving will not affect the entire lots, only certain sections, so ample parking downtown should still be available. The lots are expected to reopen once the work is completed on Saturday.
