WILLIAM BRANDON HALL

William Brandon Hall 38, and his girlfriend, Kathy R. Brown, 39, were arrested following an investigation by NCSO Detective Mike Kaminski into the Tuesday, June 21 incident that left Michael P. Young, 39, of New Haven, beaten, shot in the face and bleeding.

Young was initially unwilling to cooperate with investigators. Evidence in the investigation was gathered from the scene and from Young’s white Jeep that was parked at the store.

Young told police that Hall beat him with a pistol, but would not say Hall also shot him. Investigators will be working to match evidence from the scene to the gun recovered during their investigation to determine who shot Young.

Hall was charged with beating Young with a pistol. Brown was charged with tampering with physical evidence for allegedly hiding the gun that was used to assault Young.

Hall and Brown were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and individuals with information is asked to contact Det. Mike Kaminski at the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, (502) 348-1870 or Nelson County Dispatch, (502) 348-3211.
