PAULINE BODINE SHIRLEY

(UPDATED 8:26 June 24, 2016) Pauline Bodine Shirley, 79, of Bardstown, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. She was born April 9, 1937, in Bardstown. She retired from Kroger and was a member of Bardstown Community Theater. She was a member of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and the Christmas Play Director.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David “Dell” Shirley; and one brother, Isaac Bodine.

She is survived by one daughter, Dana (Deron) Sorrell of Bardstown; one son, Jeff Shirley of Elizabethtown; one stepdaughter, Pamela (Tony) Ramirez of Chicago; three sisters, Barbara Bodine of Nazareth, and Dorothy (Raymond) Rhoades and Roxanna (Kenny) Gordon, both of Bardstown; one brother, Marvin Bodine of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Devin Sorrell, Delaney Sorrell, and Daniel Sorrell; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery with Bro. Gerald Hedgewood officiating.

Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home and 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions may go to Alzheimer’s Association.

The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
