Obituary: Martha Ann Drake, 73, Bloomfield

MARTHA ANN DRAKE

Martha Ann Drake, 73, of Bloomfield, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at Baptist Health of Louisville. She was born Oct. 24, 1942, in Nelson County to the late John Clayton and Lula Mae Greer Drake. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairmount Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Huston Drake.

She is survived by three sisters, Ida Lee (Kenneth) Baxter of Lexington, Mary (Jimmy) Simpson of Louisville and Eva Gail (Wilbert) Waldridge of Liberty, N.C.; three brothers, Samuel Coleman (Dona) Drake of Madison, Ala., John Clayton (Carolyn) Drake of Lawrenceburg, and Delton (Debbie) Drake of Bloomfield; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. John Savage officiating. Burial is in the Big Spring Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
