Need for blood termed ‘critical’; local blood drives scheduled

Monday, June 27, 2016, 5 p.m. — The American Red Cross has now elevated to the need for blood to critical status and is facing an emergency blood shortage.

Blood drives this week are being held to meet the increased need.
