Obituary: Marie Louise Sympson Conway, 87, of Bardstown
Marie Louise Sympson Conway, 87, of Bardstown, joined our loving God and her husband of 65 blessed years on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
MARIE LOUISE SYMPSON CONWAY
She was born Oct. 8, 1925 and lived her entire lifetime in Bardstown. She graduated from Bardstown High School and attended Webster College, Nazareth College and graduated from the University of Kentucky. She dedicated her life to her family and volunteer work. She was a faithful volunteer to the Flaget Hospital Auxiliary, St. Joseph Altar Society, Nelson County 4-H, St. Joseph School and Bethlehem High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pike Conway, and her parents, William G.A. and Louise Talbott Sympson.
She is survived by one daughter Ann (Greg) Blevins of Bardstown; three sons, Tony (Nancy) Conway of Franklin, Tenn., Bill (Cathy) Conway and Patrick (Julie) Conway, both of Bardstown; one sister, Dorothy Sympson Wachs of Lexington; one brother, Bill (Beth) Sympson of New York City; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Regina), Pikey (Sarah), Katie, Michael (Kim), Nicholas, Christopher and Maggie Conway, and Carson and Marie Blevins; and three great-grandchildren, Junior Conway, Carter Conway and Elle Conway.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016, and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Bethlehem High School or St. Joseph Parish School, 310 W. Stephen Foster Ave., Bardstown, KY 40004.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
