EMS responds for report of individual struck by lightning Sunday

STAFF REPORT
Monday, July 4, 2016, 3 a.m. — Nelson County EMS responded Sunday evening to a home located off Poplar Flat Road for a person injured by a lightning strike. EMS was dispatched at about 9:10 p.m. to Pembrooke Drive for a 20-year-old who was apparently struck by lightning. The victim refused transport by EMS.
