Obituary: Essie Willard Cooper, 88, Bloomfield
Essie Willard Cooper, 88, of Bloomfield, died Monday, July 4, 2016, at his residence. He was the son of the late Alvey and Cora Lee LeGrande Cooper and was born Nov. 17, 1927, in Butler County. He was a retired dock worker at Smith Transfer for 29 years, and a past Master of the 
Hudsonville Masonic Lodge #262 F&AM.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nikki Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Jo Minton Cooper; two sons, Glenn (Peggy) Cooper of Fairfield and Paul (Kathy) Cooper of Mississippi; five grandchildren, Megan Cooper, Judith Cooper, Adam Cooper, Tana Cooper and Morgan Cooper; and five great-grandchildren.
The memorial service is 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
