Mayor asks residents, businesses to lower flags in honor of slain Dallas officers

Friday, July 8, 2016, 12:45 p.m. — Bardstown Mayor John Royalty is asking Bardstown residents and businesses who display the American flag to lower them to half-staff for 12 days in honor of the 12 police officers who were killed or injured in an ambush-style attack Thursday night in downtown Dallas, Texas.

The attack left five officers dead and wounded seven other officers as well as two civilians.
