Lincoln County man dies in rollover crash at bottom of Burg Hill

Tuesday, July 12, 2016, 11:20 a.m. — A 59-year-old Lincoln County man died Tuesday morning from injuries sustained when he was ejected from his pickup truck after it struck a guard rail on US150, Springfield Road at the bottom of Burg Hill and overturned.
Just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nelson County EMS, Nelson County Fire and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched for the single-vehicle injury accident on Burg Hill. According to a sheriff’s office press release, the driver was ejected from his vehicle when it left the north side of Springfield Road, struck a guard rail over overturned. Weather is believed to have been a factor in the accident, the sheriff’s office states.
EMS transported the driver to Flaget Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:45 a.m. Police are withholding the name of the victim pending notification of family.
