Dye files for District 3 seat on Nelson County board of education

Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 4:30 p.m. — Rebekah McGuire Dye, 44, of Masden Road in Boston, is the first candidate to file for the District 3 seat on 
the Nelson County Board of Education.
Dye filed her candidacy paperwork Wednesday at the Nelson County Clerk’s office.
School board races are non-partisan. Incumbent school board member Larry Pate has not yet filed to keep his seat on the board.
Three of the five county school board seats are up for election this November — Districts 2, 3 and 5.
The deadline to file to run as a candidate in non-partisan local races — including city school board, county school board and city council races in Bardstown, New Haven, Bloomfield and Fairfield — is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016.
