Two Louisville men indicted Wednesday for passing counterfeit bills

Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 11 p.m. — Two Louisville men were indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury on charges they allegedly passed counterfeit money at the Bardstown Walmart.

1_indictmentJustin McCord, 35, and Eric Honshell, 53, were both indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a forged instrument and for being persistent felony offenders.

According to the indictments, the men — acting alone or together — allegedly possessed counterfeit money and passed it at Walmart. The indictments cite each man’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail for each man was set at $100,000 cash only, plus conditions. Their arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016.

Possession of a forged instrument is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison.
