Religion news
Thursday, July 21, 2016 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church invites children ages 4-12 years of age to its Vacation Bible School that will run 9:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29.
The theme for the week is “Submerged.” Each day the children – called Submariners – will “Dive Deep” into the Bible as they learn that “Jesus Sees, Jesus Knows, and Jesus Saves.” To reinforce learning they will hear about a missionary family in Atlanta, Ga.; they will make sea-related crafts; learn songs with movements; play nautical-based games; and enjoy healthy snacks.
The Family Night Worship Service is 6-6:45 p.m. Friday, July 29 in the church sanctuary (Note that this is an earlier time than usual).
Following the Family Night Worship Service, Submariners and their families are invited to the Bardstown City Pool for a “Back to School Splash.” All of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church member families are also invited to attend.
In addition to VBS, The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church offers Bible Study for all ages at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday with the morning worship service at 11 a.m. and the evening worship service at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend activities and services of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church located 5 miles west of Bardstown off Boston Road (Hwy 62) on Bellwood Road (Hwy 733).
