ISAAC DONALD HOLT
Isaac Donald Holt, 85, of Chaplin, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 2:52 p.m. at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was a native of Nelson County. He was born Nov. 20, 1930, to the late Isaac Lincoln “Jake” and Myrtle Lee Milburn Holt. He was a member of the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy and a retired employee of the General Electric Company of Louisville having retired in 1991. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donnie D. Holt on July 8, 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Chesser Holt; one daughter, Virta Thomas, of Chaplin; one son, Jackie Holt (Kay), of Chaplin; one daughter-in-law, Francy Holt of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Missy Bobblett (Kevin), Ginger Moore (Max) and Jacquelyn Cornell (Darren); and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Hillard, John Tyler Steele, Hunter Bobblett and Diesel Moore.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy with church pastor the Rev. Keith Creech officiating. Burial is the Highview Cemetery at Chaplin.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Chesser, Darrell Dean, Keith Stone, Dennis Curtsinger, Rex Curtsinger and Glen Curtsinger.
The Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
