Two juveniles injured in single-vehicle crash Wednesday on US31 South

Thursday, July 28, 2016, 10:30 a.m. — Two juveniles were injured Wednesday evening in a single vehicle accident in the 4000 block of New Haven 
Road. Police, Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Fire Department were dispatched at 10:45 p.m. for an accident involving a 2004 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck that ran off the road and struck a tree. According to a Nelson County Sheriff’s Office press release, the juvenile driving the truck was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital where he refused treatment. A second juvenile was transported by EMS to Kosair Children’s Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries. Police said alcohol was not involved in the accident. Deputy Steve Campbell investigated the accident.
