Obituary: Frankie Smith, 69, Bardstown

Frankie Smith, 69, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at his residence. He was born July 7, 1947 in Bardstown and retired from INOAC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Viole Smith; and three sisters, Gertie Metcalf, Bonnie Harrell, and Shirley Mudd.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Smith of Bardstown; one daughter, Elaine Cox; one son, Darrell (April) Smith of New Haven; four sisters, June Gilkey, Patsy Johnson, Debbie Nalley all of Bardstown, and Joyce Tinnell of Springfield; four brothers, Billy Smith, Everett Smith, Johnny Smith, and Danny Smith all of Bardstown; two grandchildren, Brian Cox, and Bridget Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 2:30-8 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
