ROBERT BURNS “BOBBY” HICKS

Robert Burns “Bobby” Hicks, 75, of New Haven, died Friday, July 29, 2016. He was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service with 34 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran with six years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Old Kentucky Home Post 121, a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, and a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rozine Hicks and Mary Arlene Elmore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy Jackson Hicks; one daughter, Angela Young of Springfield; two sons, Brian Hicks and Andy (Ange) Hicks; two sisters, May (Wayne) Watson and Faye (Walt) Graves; two brothers, Gary (Catherine) Hicks and Jody Hicks; four grandsons, Jason Young, Jared Young, Aaron Hicks and Ryan Hicks.

The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. Jason Harris and the Rev. Culpepper Elliott officiating. Burial is in the St. Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven. A prayer vigil is 6 p.m. Monday.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of the arrangements.
