Obituary: Madonna Rose Bowman, 54, St. Francis
Madonna Rose Bowman, 54, of St. Francis, died Monday, August 1, 2016, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Jan. 13, 1962, in Manton to the late Joseph Julian and Naomi Marie Bell Nalley.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rhoda Della Metcalf and Judy Marie Nalley; and one brother, Michael Edward Nalley.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Steve Bowman; one daughter, Courtney Bowman, at home; one son, Stephen Bowman II, at home; five sisters, Joyce Norris (Russell) of Springfield, Wanda Bartley of Greenbrier, Henrietta Fogle (Randall) of Holy Cross, Patty Bruner (Greg) and Sue Miles (Danny), all of St. Francis; seven brothers, Junior Nalley and Jerry Nalley, both of Raywick, Joe Nalley (Sherry) of Clarksville, Tenn., Jimmy Nalley of Lebanon, Stephen “Sarge” Nalley of St. Francis, Bert Nalley (Celia) of Hephzibah, Ga. and Bruce Nalley of Loretto; and one brother-in-law, Henry “Bucky” Metcalf of Bardstown.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 6964 Cissellville Rd., Manton, with the Rev. Matt Hardesty officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
