Obituary: Timothy Neal ‘Tim’ Houk, 59, Sonora
Timothy Neal “Tim” Houk, 59, of Sonora, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at his residence. He was a self-employed salesman. He was a member of the Sonora Baptist Church in Sonora. He was born Dec. 24, 1956, the son of Charles Thomas “Tod” Houk and Georgia Mae Cardin Dougherty.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Thomas “Tod” Houk.
He is survived by one daughter, Taylor Nicole Houk of Sonora; his mother, Georgia Mae Cardin Dougherty of White City; the mother of his child, Julia Ann “Julie” Wheeler Houk of Sonora; one sister, Charlotte (Tommy) Houk Masterson of Elizabethtown; four half-sisters, Theresa (Loyal) Patterson of Sonora, Donna (Steve) Heath Johnson of Lexington, Renee (Dean) Higdon of Howardstown and Lisa (Pat) Jennings of New Albany, Ind.; one half-brother, Tommy Houk of Elizabethtown; one grandson, Oakley Benton Houk of Sonora; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The memorial service is 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 North Lincoln Blvd, Hodgenville with the Rev. Billy Curle officiating.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Friday at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
