Former councilman Buckman files to return to Bardstown city council

Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, 8 p.m. — Former Bardstown City Councilman Joe Buckman is seeking to return to the six-member council.
Buckman, 65, is a resident of West Broadway who filed his candidacy paperwork late Thursday afternoon at the Nelson County Clerk’s office.
Buckman previously served two two-year terms on the council. In 2014, he was seeking a third term when he abruptly withdrew from the race prior to the November election.
Buckman is the 16th candidate to file for a seat on the council in the Nov. 8, 2016 election.

The deadline to file for the non-partisan local offices on the November ballot is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9.
